War of 1812
As the young American republic was finding its footing, tensions with Great Britain reignited. The two nations had parted on bitter terms after the Revolution, and unresolved grievances over trade, impressment, and territorial ambitions eventually pushed them back into open conflict.
The two were very aggressive to one another since the end of the Revolutionary War. Eventually, tensions boiled over as the countries declared war on each other once again. Because of the rather inconclusive nature of the conflict overall, both countries would eventually just decide to call it quits and return to their own more pressing matters.
